The Fifth Inter-American Congress of Philosophy and Second Congress of the Sociedad Interamericana de Filosof¨ªa was held in July 1957 at Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C. It was organized by the American Philosophical Association with support from the Ford Foundation. Simultaneous translation equipment was used at all sessions, and papers from this Congress were translated into English and Spanish for the delegates. Three volumes of these papers have been digitized by the Philosophy Documentation Center.
